| Welcoming HRH Princess of Thailand in Château Allaman |
Princess Ubolratana of Thailand, the eldest child of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Regent Sirikit, arriving at Château d'Allaman.
Her Royal Highness has lived for many years in the Lausanne region during her childhood. She was very interested in the upcoming restoration of the Castle of Allaman and received a private visit of the interiors of the 12th Century property.
HRH was particularly interested in the Castle's long history in peace building initiatives, including the establishment of the United Nations idea (with the "Society of Peace" creation by J.J. de Sellon, that lead to the Society (League) of Nations and consequently to the U.N.O.)
